Mes parents ont fêté leur anniversaire de mariage aujourd'hui, et pour fêter l'occasion ils ont été se déchaîner en boite. Non, je plaisante. Ils ont été à un concert d'Enrico Macias, un chanteur bien connu en France et apprécie des jeunes et des moins-jeunes!
Avant d'aller au concert, je leur avais recommandé de mettre des chaussures plates et de ne pas oublier leurs briquets!
Comme John n'avait jamais entendu parlé d'Enrico, je suis allée le chercher sur le net et j ai aussi trouvé ceci:

What are the chances of... - Un debut de soirée à Haifa
Parfois, il faut peu pour se sentir à la maison dans un pays étranger ! Comme par exemple entendre une “vieille” chanson française à la radio, dans un centre commercial à Haifa, Israel, un peu au milieu de nul part…
Pour les Français, je crois qu’il n’y a pas besoin d’en dire plus. Cette chanson devrait amener le sourire aux lèvres (ou pas), tellement c’est « vieux » comme chanson (ça date des années 80/90 seulement – donc en réalité c’est pas SI vieux que ça). Pour les Anglophones, je pari que ça a juste l’air bien dépassé…
Sometimes you need very little to make you feel at home in a foreign country! Like, for example, hearing an “old” French song on the radio, in an shopping mall, in Haifa, Israel…a bit in the middle of nowhere…
For the French, there is no need to say more, I think. This song should bring memories, as it is so “old”! For the English-speaking, I bet this song just sounds very out-of-date which is indeed the case! This song was very popular in the 80’s and the 90’s. The chorus goes like this: And you sing sing sing this chorus you like. And you clap clap clap, that's your way to like it... I know. Nothing to write home about!

Cette année, je suis passée de la version 2.9 à la version 3.0 et je me porte bien :-)
J’ai vraiment passé une bonne journée. John m’a submergé de cadeaux, les collégues au travail sont venus me chanter joyeux anniversaire et m’ont offert un gateau fait bureau et des jelly beans. Le soir, nous sommes allés manger à Tatami. C’etait vraiment bon, on a apprecié chaque sushi!
On n’a pas tous les jours 30 ans !

This year, I was updated from the 2.9 version to the 3.0 version and I am fine :-)
I had a really nice day. John showeredme with gifts, my colleagues at work sang happy birthday and gave me anofficemade birthday cake and jelly beans. In the evening we went to Tatami. It was really good and we loved every inch of our sushis!
